recital is over!!!!

sadness!!! the recital was a huge success. after my dances were done I was so sad I said "oh its over all that practice for the one night performance." God is good he gave us all a fun and safe performance. My pointe work went surprisingly well. the most exciting news of all was that melissa my ballet teacher was able to dance at the last minute, she wasnt sure if she would be able to becuse she injured her foot. Melissa did an awesome job as director for the first year. she also did a great job on her dance with her hubby. I'll let you know when ballet starts again. and keep u informaned about next years recital 2008. God bless. I hope those of you who went enjoyed the performance.

the recital is coming up

Wow only 2 and a half weeks til the recital, I am getting extremely excited and nervious i might add. I hope I dont drive all the girls nuts like I did last year. the recital is June 2nd 2007 at 7pm at Skyview High school. I know it will be fun!

this years recital

this years recital is called the promise. Its about Joseph in the bible, except it has Josie as Joseph and sister instead of brothers. me and my class are the jesters and Jypsies. I'm really looking forward to the recital. It makes me feel so good to have such God glorifying recitals.

all about my ballet teacher Melissa Mellinger

She is a wonderful ballet teacher and friend, she never gives up on us, her students. she continues to love ballet. Melissa bought the studio from Autumn Edmonds. and continues to enjoy teaching. Melissa Got married to Austin in August of 06, and they are happily married in Oregon city,OR. (Man that is too far away.) and she is continuing to work hard with the recital coming up. But she is doing a fantastic job. She is always keeping up on the dances even when she feels like crap. Although she does not have my pointe work done yet. But other then that she is doing a fantastic job. I love taking from Melissa, she makes dancing all the more fun and chalanging.

Ballet that honors Christ

On your toes studios is a classical ballet studio that is meant to glorify Christ through dance. Not all dance or ballet does that. I'm just grateful on your toes does. not just the classes that glorify Christ but the performances also they ALL have a Christ centered title. example: the heart of the toymaker, esther, and this years the promise.

Its beacuse of my ballet teacher, Melissa that I have gotton as far as I am now. I fall alot in ballet and she never gives up on me. It seems like she continues to come back all the time and correct something that is wrong. like for example long neck, straight back, chin up, smile, Its beacuse of Melissa that i am where I am right now. I love you dear friend.

why ballet

well when I first started ballet, for the first year I thought ballet classes went so slow and I hardly ever sweat. but now I LOVE it and always will. I now have a wonderful ballet teacher who is married Melissa Mellinger. I love her, she makes ballet so much more fun. Ballet is a thing I get to look forward to twice a week, and ballet has been a thing that I can get cheered up and get better at. and I love it like I said before. There is always something I can learn with ballet. I hope some day I will become professional with ballet. ballet is a dream I will always hold on to.
